Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival
Upon arrival at the Leh airport, our will assist you in getting transferred to the hotel. Check-in and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Post lunch (On direct payment basis), the rest of the day is at leisure so that you can acclimatize to the environment. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner (On direct payment basis) and an overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2 – Lamayuru & Kargil (216 km, 7 Hours Drive)
After a delicious breakfast, drive to Lamayuru. En-route, visit the Likir Monastery which is situated on a small hill and is home to a 75 feet statue of Maitreya Buddha. Also, visit the Hall of Fame Museum. Enjoy a lip-smacking lunch (On direct payment basis) that will be served on the way. Later, visit the Moon Landscapes and the Lamayuru Monastery, situated on top of the Meditation Hill and then head to Kargil which is the second largest town in Ladakh after Leh. Check-in and relax at the hotel. Dinner(On direct payment basis) and overnight in Kargil.
Day 3 – Kargil – Leh (216 km, 7 Hours Drive)
In the morning, post a yummy breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Leh. On your way, visit the Kargil War Memorial and pay homage to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives while protecting the country in the Kargil Battle of 1999. Enjoy a hearty lunch (On direct payment basis) that shall be served. Also visit the Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Alchi monastery, and Sangam that represents a confluence of River Indus and Zanskar. Upon reaching, check-in at the hotel and enjoy your dinner (On direct payment basis) and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 – Nubra Valley via Khardung La & Sand Dunes of Hunder (155 km, 5 HoursDrive)
In the morning, post breakfast, check-out from the hotel and move North towards the Nubra Valley. Drive past the famous Khardung La Pass (18,380 feet) and reach the resort or the camp. Check-in and rest for a while. Savor a hot lunch(On direct payment basis) and later venture out to see the famous Sand Dunes of Hunder, where you can enjoy a ride on a double-humped Bactrian camel (optional activity on direct payment basis). Come back for dinner(On direct payment basis) and an overnight stay at the camp/resort.
Day 5 – Turtuk & back to Nubra (80 km, 2.5 Hours Drive one way)
Early morning, post a yummy breakfast, embark on a driving spree that will take you to the ancient world of the Balti dynasty which is a quaint village of Turtuk. Enjoy a hearty lunch (On direct payment basis) in Turtuk and return to the Nubra Valley. Enjoy your dinner (On direct payment basis) and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 – Diskit Monastery & back to Leh (155 km, 6 Hours Drive One Way)
Post breakfast at the hotel, head to the Diskit Monastery that houses the beautiful statue of Maitreya Buddha (Buddha of the future). Then, return to Leh and remember to snap a picture with the Khardung La sign board. Dinner (On direct payment basis) and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 – Departure
This day marks the culmination of the trip. After an early breakfast (not included), you will be transferred to Leh airport for your onward flight.
