Detailed Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Cochin
Arrive at Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station and head to your hotel. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. Spend the evening at your leisure; you can even indulge in a shopping spree at the local markets. Have a pleasant overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 – Cochin- Munnar (130.3 km / 3hours 40 minutes)
Check out from the hotel in the morning and proceed for a half-day city tour of Cochin. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Mattancherry Palace and Hill Palace Museum. Later, drive to the hill station of Munnar. On your way, visit spice plantations, Valara Falls and Cheeyappara Falls. Check in at the hotel after arriving in Munnar. The rest of the day is free for leisure. Retire for the night at your hotel in Munnar.
Day 3 – Munnar Sightseeing
In the morning, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Gundala Lake, Photo Point and Eravikulam National Park which is famous for the Nilgiri Tahr. Also visit Anaimudi Peak, the highest peak in South India, Tata Tea Museum and the International Blossom Hydel Park. Enjoy a panoramic view of the sunset at Pothamedu. In the evening, go on a short trek through the spice and tea plantations in Munnar. Have a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4 – Munnar to Thekkady (92.1 km / 2hours 58 minutes)
In the morning, proceed to Thekkady. You will drive past tea estates and spice plantations on your way. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Thekkady. Take a boat safari on the Periyar Lake, which is surrounded by the Periyar Tiger Reserve. This reserve is home to many species of flora and fauna. Later, visit a spice plantation. In the evening, walk through the lively spice market in Kumily village. Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5 – Thekkady to Alleppey (137.9 km / 3hours 36 minutes)
Proceed to Alleppey in the morning.The 3-hour drive from Thekkady will take you past typical Kerala villages and verdant paddy fields. Check in at the hotel on arrival. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Have a relaxing overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 – Departure from Cochin
After having a healthy breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station for your journey back home.
